MAFPEX International Machinery, Agriculture, Food & Packaging Exhibition will be held between the dates of 26-29 November 2012 in Abuja, Nigeria at Abuja International Conference Centre.
There will be Nigerian Investment Conference between 27-28th of November at the AICC in conjunction with the fair which will give to our exhibitors a chance to meet government officials, local investors, wholesalers and others to discuss new opportunities in the West African Region.
Nigeria ranks 25th worldwide and 1st in Africa in farm output. Agriculture in Nigeria is a major branch of the economy in Nigeria, providing employment for 70% of the population. The sector is being transformed by commercialization at the small, medium and large-scale enterprise levels.
The growth of the packaged food market in Nigeria remained strong and steady over the review period. This can mainly be attributed to the sheer size of the Nigerian population, which equates to enormous and growing demand for packaged food products. Other contributory factors include improving product quality, the growing sophistication of Nigerian consumers, the increasing marketing activities of companies and generally higher disposable incomes. Packaged food is one of the most dynamic markets in Nigeria, with many new entrants and products each year.
