SIAL China 2013 reported a new record of 41,304 visitors who came to learn about the latest news and meet new contacts at the Asian Food Marketplace.
13.1% (5,411 visitors) of the visitors came from outside of China, mainly from Korea, Japan, Australia, and south-east of Asia.
46.84% of the visitors came from the Shanghai area and 40.06% came from the rest of China.

SIAL China is also more international than ever with 2,157 exhibitors from all over the world coming in the three-day business sourcing. Gathering 79 countries and regions in 2013, and SIAL China fulfilled once again with an outstanding grade its commitment to internationalization.
The Chinese participation increased again with numerous Chinese professional associations who organized pavilions to enlarge business trade such as China Dairy Industry Association, China Aquatic Products Processing And Marketing Association, China Canned Food industry Association and Foreign Economic Cooperation Center, Ministry of Agriculture PRC. 27 Chinese provinces and municipalities were represented on the show this year, with a strong participation of Shandong province, Zhejiang province, Gansu Province, Shanghai municipality, Ningbo City, Urumqi City, Xining City.
